Thierry and his family, who came from Paris for a few days of vacation, tell you about his experience of chartering a boat in Ibiza with Amoyachts.

“We wanted to go to Ibiza for a long time, but the tumult of the Parisian life took over and we never found the time to organize this trip.

It was finally for my 50th birthday that my wife decided to take us there with our two children. What a great gift!

August 2020, despite the sanitary crisis, we manage to take the direction of Ibiza. We stayed at the Nobu hotel, on the beach of Talamanca. The location was incredible and we were ready to enjoy our vacation.

After several excursions on the island, it was time to discover the nearby Formentera, which everyone had been telling us about since our arrival.

It was while searching on the internet that we found the yacht charter agency in Ibiza Amoyachts. We found on their website a Sea Ray 40 that interested us and we went directly to the agency to get more information.

There, we met Pina who took care of us. We had very good contact with her, and we knew then that we were in good hands. We paid a 50% deposit to secure our reservation, and we came back the next day to spend the day on this boat.

Elian was at the helm. We greatly appreciated his comments and stories about Ibiza and Formentera and his job as skipper which he is so passionate about.

When we arrived in front of Formentera, we discovered incredibly clear water. It was fantastic! Then, a small boat came to take us to the restaurant Juan y Andrea, where we enjoyed a delicious paella, with our feet in the sand.

Then we went back to MUAA, our boat, to enjoy the snorkelling equipment that Elian had prepared for us. The kids loved it! It was an afternoon of pure relaxation that we spent.

Back to the port at the end of the day, Pina met us and we paid her the fuel we had used during the day. We finally returned to our hotel with wonderful memories, and quite tired after such a “hard day” 😉 “.
