At the end of January 1500 exhibitors met 237,000 visitors in 16 exhibition halls. The Rhine metropolis of Düsseldorf opened its doors after a forced break of 2 years.
“Despite the not-easy general conditions, boot 2023 has written a success story. We would not have dreamed of such a positive result. boot has returned to its calm waters and is firmly anchored in its Düsseldorf home port. This successful return has shown that trade fairs ‘made in Düsseldorf’ have an international appeal,” says Wolfram Diener, head of the trade fair.
Spread over 16 exhibition halls, one could find everything the nautical heart desires.
From diving, paddle sports, and sailing boats to motor boats and luxury yachts.
boot Director Petros Michelidakis reports highly pleased: “The discussions with the exhibitors were incredibly good, viewing appointments on the boats completely booked and the companies reported a large number of boat and accessory sales. The halls were also buzzing with diving and trend sports. Our crew gave it their all, set the sails perfectly and once again climbed to the top of the international water sports trade fairs with boot 2023. We are pleased that boot was able to offer this marketplace to the industry and that they were able to present themselves successfully despite the difficult, current economic situation.”
The international trade show attracted people from Germany’s neighboring countries of the Netherlands, Belgium, Switzerland, Italy, and France, as well as many Spaniards, Britons and a high number of guests from Turkey, which could be noted. In addition, numerous manufacturers and interested parties from the USA, South America, and Asia again traveled to Düsseldorf and enriched the industry get-together with innovative products, suggestions and intensive knowledge transfer.
For the Bundesverband Wassersportwirtschaft e.V., Managing Director Karsten Stahlhut summarized the situation in the industry: “Due to the continuous crises since 2020 and two cancelled boats, we all started the exhibition with mixed feelings. Overall, however, for most, expectations were not only met but exceeded in every respect. A strong boot in January is an indicator of a good year. I’m sure it will be better than we estimated a few weeks ago.”

Absolute Yachts will not miss Boot Düsseldorf 2023: the largest indoor boat show and one of the most important boating events of the year. After a two-year hiatus, this highly anticipated edition opens the 2023 boating season after the Christmas break.
From January 21 to 29, boat owners, professionals and lovers of boats and water sports are looking forward to the 16 pavilions that will host more than 1,500 companies from Australia to Cyprus.
The boat show will mainly showcase all the innovations in recreational boating, nautical tourism, and water activities such as diving, sport fishing, surfing and other water sports.
Numerous boats will be presented, from canoes and inflatables to superyachts, including the Italian quality boats of Absolute Yachts.
In addition, seminars and free consultations are offered to deepen the knowledge and passion, as well as the possibility to try some water sports (diving workshops, skimboarding, motorboat simulators, and many others).
The Absolute fleet is represented by four flagship boats of the FLY range: 47, 50, and 60 FLY. The new 56 FY, the Absolute Charisma, will also be present, a masterpiece of engineering that expresses its personality in the captivating lines and the cozy, refined, and functional spaces.
In other words, the Boat Show is an unmissable opportunity for shipyards and companies that want to network at an important event in the sector.
